On Linux

  1. Close Daedalus.
  2. Move the Daedalus chain folder to your external SSD:

mv ~/.local/share/Daedalus/mainnet /path-to-external-ssd/mainnet

3. Create a symlink:

ln -s /path-to-external-ssd/mainnet ~/.local/share/Daedalus/mainnet

Windows Instructions:

  1. Close Daedalus.
  2. Move the Daedalus folder from C:\Users<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Daedalus Mainnet to your external SSD (e.g., D:\Daedalus Mainnet).
  3. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  4. Create a symlink:

mklink /D “C:\Users<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Daedalus Mainnet” “D:\Daedalus Mainnet”
