What are Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains?
I keep hearing about Layer 1s and 2s. Can someone explain what that means in simple terms?

Layer 1 is the base chain — like Ethereum or Solana. Layer 2 sits on top to scale it — like Arbitrum.
