Crypto Market Scams
I’m so tired of seeing people lose hundreds of thousands of dollars to crypto scams. I feel so terrible for these people (especially elders who are unaware of all the scams) who get tricked into giving away their life savings. What do you guys honestly think about the future of crypto given the incredibly shady, volatile, and untrustworthy nature of it? It just rubs me in the wrong way and my gut is telling me to just stay away from crypto going forward until there is a more streamlined educational process to it, along with a system of trust. Just my thought
It’s not crypto specific though. Banking scams are also on the rise and far more prevalent than crypto scams.
My mother, my mother in law, and just about every elderly person I talked to has been almost scammed, or actually scammed in the last couple of years. There are news reports about scammers, and crack down on banking scams locally and internationally by police all the time. When it happens in crypto the media portrays it as a reason to not trust crypto as a whole. When it happens with a bank account the media portrays it as a crime against a victim and little to do with banking.
