I want to day trade crypto for cheap

What places can I day trade crypto for cheap, I don’t want to buy $200 worth of tether just so I can spend $0.50 on day trading. My boyfriend’s dad is trying to get into crypto so I’m helping but I barely know what I’m doing, they’re poor ish and don’t want to spend so much money on it they want to spend $5 or less but we don’t know where to go we were on BTCC exchange but you have to buy minimum of $200 tether
