Is It Time to Rethink How Crypto Markets Are Structured?
Lately, it feels like we’re watching the same movie on repeat, big news drops, the market reacts violently, and somehow, the biggest players always seem to be positioned perfectly ahead of time. Whether it’s political figures, institutions, or insiders moving size in the shadows, retail traders are left scrambling to figure out what just happened.
The issue isn’t manipulation; it’s the lack of transparency in execution. Who’s executing your order? Who’s front-running it? Who’s profiting from non-transparent order flow? People care about price action, but not many discuss execution fairness and how order book structures affect trading results.
With recent turmoil throughout CEXs, from bugs to suspicious order books, are we long past due for a change in the nature of crypto trading? What is the actual answer to evening out the playing field? Decentralization? New models of execution? Would love to hear insights.
