Will Litecoin ever support smart contracts?

There was some news about Flare earlier in the year but I haven’t heard much about it since. Are there other projects in the works?

In addition to what’s already been listed, rsk was also planning to add litecoin at one point, there’s also mast link, and the existing covenants tech which underlies Litebringer (litecoin rpg) link.I don’t think a lot of what’s anticipated is high priority though. RSK, for example, was touted a long time ago and I haven’t seen any update since.

You can swap your LTC for WLTC using the WAN bridge. It adds smart contract support for LTC.

I tried that for a while, it’s nice. But now my litecoins rest back in my hardware wallet.

You can “stake” your LTC by providing liquidity. The thing is that there’s a catch. Read about providing liquidity and impermanent loss.
