If you buy altcoins, chances are you don\’t buy a lot of bitcoin. And why would you? It\’s boring and moves really slow, definitely not the most exciting coin to hold a lot of. You want to hold coins whose price moves violently, the kind of coins that move 10% in a day, and you should, that\’s one of the many joys crypto has over any other market.

However, those risky movements in price can prevent you from buying a coin even if you know its gonna go up. You want to buy an altcoin you\’re bullish on but you don\’t want to risk the price going down violently against your favor. You\’re not sure if you should buy 10% of your portfolio of that coin, 20%, 50% or heck maybe go all in and maybe this will be the one that makes you rich.
