Can i avoid expensive fees buying and storing ethereum on ledger this way?

Hi everybody

I was wondering if when i buy ethereum through the option buy > buy crypto via Coinify on my ledger live, does this mean that once i buy it, it will store automatically on my wallet or it will be on the exchange and still need to move it paying those fees?

If it meant that it goes straight onto my wallet, i wouldnt be paying fees, am i right?

Newbie trying to learn, thank you!

Just a heads up, gas fees are wild right now. If you buy a small amount of eth and get it out of gemeni onto ledger, although the transfer fees into your wallet will be zero, it’ll be hard to get it out of your wallet without paying a lot in gas. Gas fees can really eat into small purchases, so unless you plan to hold it, don’t make the same mistake I did.

The cheapest way is Gemini Active Trader. You can buy ETH for 0.25% using limit orders, and then send to your ledger up to 10x a month for free (Gemini pays you all gas fees).
