Crypto value

So I bought a dumb meme coin at .11 for $100. It’s now at .13 but it says my value is now .80 cents from the $100 I initially invest at .11? How does this make sense?

It wouldn’t make any sense for a small purchase to cause op to have a 99% price impact unless there is no liquidity pool or they bought from the wrong lp like for example for a base token the main LP is on aerodrome but someone set up a small (basically fake) one on uniswap. And then op ignored all the warnings about price impact.

When I first started with all this stuff I would buy a coin, it would go up, I would sell a coin, I would have less than I invested.

Finally realized it mostly came down to spread. If you’re paying.06 on the dollar plus spread, and it goes up .06, you’re still paying spread.

Most of these coins fluctuate within the house always wins range, so unless you’re buying massive amounts you’re not likely to see a profit.
