It is not necessary but depending on the course itself it could be helpful or damaging. I’ve seen guides on the internet about trading that were only misleading newcomers specially if they are focusing on cryptocurrency trading.
You mostly need to know the basics which can be found anywhere from investopedia website to youtube. Then all you need is experience which can only be gained by making trades.
