Another holiday season, another set of blank stares and quizzical expressions when I try to explain how crypto technology will benefit society in the future…..it gets tiresome!!!
I’ve been trying to come up with a way to succinctly explain why we’re all so excited about this space (some of us are actually here for more than JUST massive gainz )… I’ve always believed that metaphors allow us to communicate complex ideas quickly (Picard and Dathon at El-Adrel ) so I’m trying to crowd-source a good one to use at 2025’s holiday parties
Can’t wait to see what we come up with!
Intranet vs internet
Every company had their own intranet back in the day, something that was administered by the company as a central point of control. The company alone determined what you could see.
The internet gave rise to anyone, anywhere, uploading information. You didn’t need permission and there was no central authority.
That’s decentralisation, and that’s what crypto is, only with money.
