Buying ETH directly on a Layer 2.
Is it possible to buy ETH directly on a Layer 2 to avoid high gas fees? If so, where? I know that you can buy on layer 1 and then bridge over to L2, but you still have to pay L1 gas to bridge.

I havent quite figured out why L2 is so great considering i have to pay fees to transfer from Ethereum to the L2. Then i find out, on Poly Matic, that not all tokens that i am looking to buy, can be purchased

You can buy matic or one on an exchange and then use a dex to swap for L2 eth
