Crypto Malware spreading on Youtube

According to an article I just read, the malware Pennywise acts as a free bitcoin mining software, which is often advertised via a Youtube video. The threat it poses is that it steals browser data and information regarding crypto wallets. Anyone come across this?

PCs with antivirus usually flag things for a reason, so always do the math on it. Usually if it’s a sketchy Bitcoin miner or faucet, it’s probably data mining or a hack of some sort.

Some people were born before computers became required in every day life to be fair.

Well you cant really say that. If people are involved in crypto, I am assuming that they have the basic know how of what’s legit and what’s not. I really don’t think the crypto community is that stupid.

People should really stop clicking random links. Feels like 90% of hacks are just that.

Is there anyway of knowing you’ve been hacked? Other then your accounts being drained?

The malware Pennywise acts as a free bitcoin mining software. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
