Daedalus Struggles

I know, I know Daedalus is huge…. full node… I get it.

I’d love some advice on clearing up some space. It’s currently taking up 187gbs. When I look in finder I’m seeing tons of documents labeled .chunk, .primary, and .secondary. I assume a file from each time I’ve synced on my computer. Can the files here that haven’t been accessed since 2020-2022 be deleted to free up space?

Cleanly shutdown Daedalus.

Copy your whole “~/Library/Application Support/Daedalus Mainnet” folder to an external drive.

Delete the contents after copying is complete.

Create a symbolic link between the above folder and the new one on the external drive.

Make sure external drive is mounted every time before launching Daedalus.
