Every day there are multiple posts about ridiculous amount of gas fees to do a simple transfer or swap and it’s always related to not having enough ether to process the transaction and therefore MetaMask showing a wrong gas estimation (Yes, gas prices are high and we need a solution, but even with the current fees no one has to pay 800usd in fees to transfer some ERC20).
Can the mods add it to the FAQs?
We can drive that point home when the friction is gone. Right now many people are “locked” in contracts, and the bridges to L2 are not sufficiently cheap at the moment.
As it stands now, if we say its “not a problem” then it looks like we dismiss it. The community does not dismiss these growing pains, that needs to be clear.
L2 will make cheap fees available for all, but its going to take a while for the transition before it becomes seamless.
