Invest now, or wait for the next run?

Hi, I’m a newbie who has some money to invest in crypto. However, after reading up a bit, I am wondering whether it would be wiser to wait until after this run is over? I’m not lookiong for substantial gains, but don’t want to lose everything. I’d be grateful for any advice!
