Is it possible for ledger to be compromised?

I bought my first nanos many years ago and I’m getting a new ledger due to such a dim screen I can’t read anything.

I purchased one of the new touch screen ledgers but I am wondering if it’s possible for them to be comprised? I purchased it from here:

https://shop.ledger.com/en/pages/hardware-wallets-secure-touchscreen

I’ve heard Amazon is not great just in case. I know you can do a startup test to see if there’s anything going on. I’m probably just paranoid but is there anything I can do beyond that to feel safe or am I just over panicking? lol

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Everything can be compromised. But in 99.9% it’s not the tech that’ll be compromised but the user themselves.

Buy from the manufacturer like you already did. Ideally with fake data because ledger was hacked before and leaked customer data and then you are good.

That “backdoor” needs to be enabled and even bought iirc just don’t use it. Settings are saved on the ledger itself so unless you enable it you are golden. Don’t listen to these morons saying it’s not a cold wallet anymore.
