Is the best advice for a beginner to just put money into Bitcoin?

I’ve been trying to really understand and study crypto and it seems like the most suggested advice is to just throw money here and there at Bitcoin and let it do its thing. I don’t have thousands of dollars to dump into it either but I can set aside a small amount every month. What do you guys suggest?
