What makes avax better?

Dear community.

I dont know much about avax. But i wonder if people could enlighten me a bit.

I was wondering what makes avax stand out of the herd of blockchains. And how big chances does it have to withstand a bear market?

How does it compete vs the likes of the other upcoming blockchains: FTM, Algo and harmony one?

I am pondering to liquidate one of my assets to join the avax family but was wondering what makes it so special.

I currently hold ETH (non negiotable for liquidating) Algo, Luna and harmony as blockchains and i am considering kicking one of them out for Avax.
