What was your biggest fear or doubt before entering crypto?

I am from Germany and i am writing a book about crypto. I started to buy crypto back in 2016 and back then it was very different from today! That’s why i would like to ask you what was your biggest fear/ doubt before you decided to put your first hard earned money into crypto?
