Let’s talk about leverage > what’s actually safe in this Market?

Been seeing a lot of people get absolutely rinsed lately by using 50x+ leverage on garbage meme coins. Look, I trade futures daily, and if your goal is survival and profit, you’ve got to respect the math.

Personally, I rarely go over 10-15x even on high conviction plays. 5x is my go-to when the chart’s not screaming. Anything beyond 20x becomes less about skill and more about gambling with liquidation risk.

Here’s how I think about it:

  • Tight stop? You can push higher leverage but you better be scalping with sniper entries.
  • Bigger setup or swing trade? Lower your leverage and give your idea breathing room.
  • Just aping into a hype coin with no plan? Might as well roll dice at that point.

Also, size matters. If you’re trading size that makes you panic with 1% move against you, you’re not sizing right, you’re just chasing dopamine.

Curious how others here approach leverage in this cycle. Do you adjust based on volatility or just stick to fixed rules?

Market is manipulated so that all traders with >10x leverage are rinsed out of the market 🙂
