What do you dislike about crypto paper trading?
What do you dislike about crypto paper trading?
For anyone who has used crypto paper-trading platforms, I’m curious about your experience.
What do you find frustrating or unrealistic compared with actually trading on an exchange?
Especially interested in hearing from experienced traders:
- What features are missing?
- What feels unrealistic?
- What would you change?
- Is there anything existing platforms make unnecessarily difficult?
I’m trying to understand what makes a paper-trading experience genuinely useful, so I’d appreciate honest opinions.
The biggest gap is execution. Paper fills ignore slippage, order book depth, and partial fills. In crypto, spread and liquidity at your order size matter a lot. Paper assumes you exit at the price on screen, but real execution on volatile pairs is very different. That gap between paper fills and actual fills is where most strategies break down.
When i do paper trading, i dont feel a fast hearbeat, the adrenaline, or to sum it all, i feel nothing, clear mind, dont care wether i win or i lose. So the technique/strategy is executed perfectly, the bias is just different compared to real account. I check it every second, wether its in red or green, it just feel different tbh.
So there’s nothing weing in oaper trading, just a different feel
